Washing machine WVV80J5555 FW/EU won’t start any cycle

Hi,

 

My machine is less than 2 years old and has had minimal use as I live alone, but now won’t start any cycle. I’ve checked the filters, which were clean, and also the water pressure and flow which are fine. Each time I try to start it the door locks and it starts to fill with water, then stops. I have tried with it empty and even just a spin cycle, but it just won’t start.

 

Anyone have the same problem and any idea how to fix it?

Based on your detail, the washing machine is starting because the door is locking and it is filling with water. However, I'm guessing the drum isn't rotating and this is your problem. This would appear to be a problem with the motor circuit. Unfortunately it could be a number of things associated with the motor such as the motor controller, wiring or the motor itself. 

If you have the proof of purchase and the appliance is under 2 years old it should still be covered under the manufacturer's warranty. If you don't have proof the customer support representative can and will use the serial number to validate the products age.

Your washing machine is not washing because the drum is not turning, because the motor appears faulty. 

You will need the model number which is: WW80J5555FW/EU you will also need the serial number which can be found on the inside of the door near the hinge, or on the back of the appliance if the label has been accidentally removed.

Thank you for your prompt reply and help.

 

The machine is within warranty but that runs out on 27/4. I’ve tried to live chat but it appears not to be working which is frustrating, all I get is a blank screen. You are right about the drum not turning.

 

I don’t know what I can do to register the problem as the website says that emails won’t be answered and phones are closed!

Hi ,

 

Try This link https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/repair/home-appliance/ click on laundry and once you have gone through the troubleshooting steps it will give you a code and point you towards you local approved service centre.

 

Give them a call and quote the code the website provides after the troubleshooting.
