Washer pausing on wash cycle

I have the Samsung top load washer WA40J3000AW and lately when I’m trying to wash my clothes when it goes on rinse it pauses itself and I have to pause it to unlock it then start again. Sometimes I even have to completely restart the wash cycle.

Hi @Bribur 

Have you checked the  drain hoses to make sure they're straight?. Make sure to eliminate any kinked hoses.

@ChrisM Yes, I have tried that. I’ve also unplugged it for awhile to see if that would help and it did not. Hoping it’s not an expensive fix.
