We have a Samsung RS21DCNS American Fridge Freezer that has since yesterday started tripping the electrics (every few hours). It is also getting warmer. A couple of weeks ago, when we returned from holiday, the water dispenser wasn't working. We realised it had frozen and so defrosted the pipe with a hair dryer. The pipe to the water dispenser then started leaking so we assumed that as the water had frozen in the pipe, it had cracked the pipe. We have been looking at replacing the water bottle and pipe and was about to order the part but now it seems to be tripping the electrics and getting warmer so it looks like a frozen water dispenser could be part of a bigger problem.
Given the fridge freezer is 12+ years old, could anyone give any ideas as to whether this is this a common or easy to fix issue or are we best to cut our losses and get a new one.....
