Hi, have seen this topic a few times but no actual resolution. We have had this fridge /freezer for about 6 months and has worked perfectly until now. Yesterday it stopped producing any ice and the ice box is empty. If I press the test button the tray rotates and empties anything in it and then a small amount of water flows presumably to refill the tray but if I then leave that nothing further happens.
I am trying to arrange an engineers visit but is there anything else I can do in the meantime? I suspect it is frozen somehwere and have read on the american forums about a forced defrost but don't know if this model can do that. I also have a freezer full of food and my wife won't take kindly to me turning it off for several hours!
Thanks for any help

Hey!
I know I absolutely wouldn't take kindly to it either. Best to avoid turning it off at the minute!
In the meantime, I'd take a look at some of the troubleshooting steps from the user manual. You can find this here: http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201807/20180712151742226/DA68-03725A-06_SEUK.pdf The first thing it mentions is to check the freezer temperature as it may be set too high! It needs to be between -18 °C (0 °F) or -20 °C.
Something I'd try would be to clean out the ice bucket in case there's any big clumps of ice build up. Then just check to see whether the water filter is installed correctly.
Let us know how you get on, either with the troubleshooting or the engineer visit!

Saw that temp comment and was the first thing I tried. Also Ice bucket is completely empty. Waiting for engineer to arrange a visit.

i have had the Fridge Freezer 6 months or so and all of a sudden its stopped making ice, or infact it is making ice but its not releasing from the tray into the ice bucket.
From reading the screen the issue seems to be that the fridge thinks the bucket is full when in fact it is totally empty.
i have removed the bucket to empty and clear out any blockages that maybe there may have been there but there were none.
when i press the reset button it drops the ice its made out and does the beep and fills up the tray again but when the ice is made it again wont release to the bucket as it still thinks the bucket is full, the fridge correctly identifies when the bucket is removed and returned.
i have tried a reset by turning the whole fridge on and off again for over a min.
what is it that should be telling the fridge that the ice bucket is full? is it the arm? as apart from as part of the test button process the arm stays at the highest position.
does anyone have any other suggestions?

I fixed the issue by having not quite as much in my freezer! I’d covered up the vents inside the freezer and when I took some food out and cleared the vents more it was working ok. You could try that. I’ve not had it since.

Hi, not sure exactly how or why but the problem seemed to clear itself after a few days. I emptied the whole bucket, completely cleaned it out and manually filled the ice every few hours then it started working again. Same thing reocurred a few months later but again it fixed itself. Is working now but no real idea what caused the problem or what the fix was.

Hi all! Here's some useful advice from our Home Appliance specialist on this one:
Freezer temperature not quite cold enough is a major reason why the ice maker doesnt harvest ice/make ice.
Harvest = Ice is being produced but no turning into the bucket.
The ice maker is waiting for the ice to be a little colder before it harvests.
Generally, the reason it is not quite cold enough is due to the freezer being too full, without space for air flow, or if the vents at the back are blocked (food pushed back too far) or both.
If it is a new appliance and has never made ice this could be something completely different, but those mentioned here are likely to be suddenly not making ice, or intermittently not making ice.
Hope this helps!
