But seriously guys, the P20 imo is a good contender for the S9. Speed, quality, camera are all comparable or better. Only thing I prefer on the S9 is the UI which tbh is smoother and easier to use than the P20 Pro, but that could be because I've been with Samsung since the S4. And after a couple of hours of usage, I've more or less gotten use to it already.

 

Do consider dumping that sorry excuse of a "phone" and saving yourself the grief. 

 

 


So the P20 Pro is good? You'd recommend it? I'm shorty going to Argos to ask for a refund for my 2 week old S9+ as in my opinion it's faulty and not fit for purpose. Hopefully they'll give me my money back! I'll then go look at the P20 Pro at Carphone Warehouse. What is the size difference like? Does it feel as fast as the S9? Thanks.


I would. Size difference is slightly bigger than the S9 but not really noticiable. Camera's pretty good as well. You should go look at some of the youtube reviews. The battery life and camera was what sold it for me. Don't count on getting a refund, I tried but they said "We checked and the phone is fine. We cannot refund if there is no problem". Hope you have better luck wherever you are.

Do you honestly think the US Government dont already have your data?  They are quick to criticise everyone for things they do everyday themselves and more fool us for being taken in by it.

So i know they have my data but its not a reason the Chinese Gov should get it for free either...

I've just emailed Samsung demanding a full refund.  I bought the phone early April from Samsung Online.  They then swapped it for a new phone from one of their shops. I'm hoping they'll update me on what's happening or risk losing another customer. We'll see!

About P20 Pro, I bought it before s9P.

 

Worst sound, worst screen, worst haptic feedback ( soft), worst software, didn't like the UI. The calls worked like a charm thought.

I prefer the S9, no doubt.

got next call with Samsung help center , the consultant promissed that the fix is just days ahead (end of april begin of may as the last consultant told me) and will fix this software problem for sure and it wont be any recall as with note 7 [booom]

But I loved loved loved my S8+ soooo much I want the 4th new beautiful S9+ that should be winging its way to me in about a week to be the phone it was born to be! (oh god my fingers are crossed for this)

Afternoon all, I tired the "mono speaker fix" that was advised the other day, cleared phone cache yada yada yada, restarted phone, and I have been without dropped audio in call since. And I mean multiple long calls, the shortest of which was around 25 minutes, no drop yet. Hopefully it lasts

as i now talk on PL Samsung forum with one member about this problem (and told my thoughts to consultants too) she says the same: i didnt noticed the problem before the ARBG update - this initial update before CC(but i had the phone for not so long time so i may not notice) the ARBG made my calls drop out of sudden, the CC fixed the drops but made the silences and you know the rest of the story...the girl told that before ARBG she didn't noticed anything like I so...
