Notification volume jumps to maximum

Since about a month or two ago, my notification volume jumps to maximum.  So far it seems to happen at random and I haven't been able to pinpoint exactly what causes it.  Sometimes it happens multiple times a day and sometimes it happens every other day.  All the other volumes remain unchanged but all of a sudden when receiving a new message, it is set to full volume and I have to change it back down.

Anybody have a solution for this?

@ViperGTI

Are you using the stock Samsung messages app if this is in connection to texts or is it an app such as WhatsApp etc ?

As a process of elimination can you put your phone in Safe Mode which disables your downloaded apps and leaves the stock ones working and then see what happens.

If the volume remains the same then a downloaded app is causing this problem.

Come out of Safe Mode and start deleting your most recent apps one at a time until it stops.

A Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre can take a look for you.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Hi

No, it is on all messaging apps like Whatsapp.  Is there a way to prevent apps from changing the volume?
