The 4 was wonderful. No curved bs screen. Ir blaster, great size and comfort. Not heavy and it was durable. I still have mine. However, I will recommend the s5. Root it and buy a powerbear battery off amazon and now you overclock the processor which makes it a little warmer but but still runs very smooth and lasts all day. I'm over the new bells and whistles and screen notches and *****ty confusing software changes that weren't tested thoroughly. You want to ***** someone off? Collect a thousand dollars for the product they bought and then change everything in a few months ,dont allow them to say no to the update. The s9 is probably my last samsung phone. You can get good enough basic phones now.
Copy that, Evo. I'm thinking you may be right on the s4. I had a 3 for the longest time that I would have kept for maybe another year if the power jack handn't crapped out. Couldn't even sweat a new one into place. If it wasn't for 5G coming along, I'd probably do it tomorrow, just as a back up.
Same here regarding half of the screen being wasted by HUGE text & fonts, and needless white space when using the likes of Reminder, Phone, Texts etc.
I just got a Note 10+ after upgrading from an S8+ and after the update to Pie and Android 10..
I'd like the 40% of my screen back please!
Hi, this issue looks like software problem. for the first action, may be you have to backup all phone data, then try to reset the phone. it will be back to the factory setting again.
Okay so this is for everyone who's upset about the new update for their Samsung Galaxy S9 phone. I just called Samsung customer service and they offered to reflash the phone with the previous update for free at an authorized Samsung dealer. I have not had this done yet but they said that this would revert the phone back to its prior settings and configuration. It is important that anyone who is dissatisfied with the new update call Samsung as they are working on trying to fix the problem and they need the feedback so that way we can get our phones working the way they need to be. I hope this helps
At least your S9 can update... :-/
Just so you are aware. I have contacted Samsung several times since update. And everytime I talk to someone you get a different story/version of the happenings. But we were promised that the features/problems the last update caused would be fixed last May or June. As you are aware they have not.
Several people here have tried to find a facility that had the ability to flash back to Android 8. It doesn't exist. No Samsung retailer, or Phone retailer, even Verizon can perform the roll back. You can use a program to roll back but it requires a program to Root your phone which voids your warranty.
If you are to read back over these post everything has been tried to no avail. The only thing left to wonder is when the version 10 will be out? Will it fix the problems 9 caused for many Samsung phones? Will it work with the Samsung 9 Series, and or the Note 9? My guess is none of the above!
