How come s9 are locked in the usa?

There is only one thing left to do with this garbage oled piece of *****. Shoot it with a shot gun, only way I can think to unlock since they are ***** and locked it. I didn't think I was buying apple garbage when I bought this.

Bootloader locked ?

Region locked ?

In the UK when I buy a phone directly from Samsung its unlocked to all network's so I can use any sim card in it.

If a person is given a phone as part of a mobile phone contract then its locked to that network but can be unlocked to all network's once the networks criteria for unlocking has been satisfied.
