Fingers Print Sensor with Third Party Apps (lloyds/nationwide/o2)

New Member

Hi all,

Still experiencing issues with my new Samsung S9. It seems apps like o2 and Lloyds Banking don't appear to let the fingerprint reader use this for authentication. It comes up asking me to put my finger on the sensor I do this. the message then goes away and prompts me to enter in the pin. The finger print reader is working fine on my phone. All apps are up to date etc.

Any ideas?

My UK Bank has only just introduced this.

It wasn't available previously due to security implications.

It might be worth checking with your Bank.

I've had no issues using the fingerprint option with my o2 App however.
