Microsoft Authenticator app

Hi - On my previous phones the Microsoft Authenticator app would pop-up a window so I could approve (or not) my sign-in. Currently on my S20 Ultra I get the message, have to unlock the phone, find and open the message then approve. Is there a way to get it so it just pops the window up? Thanks

I think it depends how the service using 2FA is configured.

Google will just check with a Yes or No for example as long as you haven't also configured it for Authenticator. I think push checks are a lot more practical than Authenicators - which normally are a real faff if you change phones!

This is NOT a solution to the problem described.  I also just started to get a lack of pop up for the Microsoft Authenticator.  Notifications are set properly.  I would say it started after a Jan 2024 security update.
