My feeling is they've certainly backed themselves into a corner by including the offer on the "It's time to upgrade" email they sent out.

Hi guys.

 

I've received official confirmation that both new and existing Upgrade Programme customers that meet the eligibility criteria will be able to claim for the free Galaxy Earbuds.

 

Claims will need to be made via redemption and won't be included in the order.

That's great! Can you confirm the eligibility criteria please?

 

And why are the online chat agents saying otherwise?

Unsure why the online chat agents have been saying differently so far - but the communication I received this afternoon was directly from Samsung UK & Ireland HQ.

A web chat and a telephone call with Samsung agents both confirmed back to me that the Galaxy Buds were not available to existing Upgrade Programme members.  They both categorically said NO. I will not preorder unless they confirm it on their members upgrade lounge or in an email.
