Google Play Games - sync missing

Hi Community,

 

I hope that someone can help me on this issue.

 

I have recently upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy S8 to a Galaxy S10 but I am having trouble with the Google Play Games sync - on the S8 you could automatically sync the Google Play Games app by; Settings> Accounts and backup> Accounts> *Google account*> Sync account> Play Games Cloud Save. 

 

However, the "Play Games Cloud Save" is not present in the same place in the S10. Does anyone know if it has been moved somewhere else, as I cannot get my games to automatically sync (i.e. bring my saved game data over to the S10) on my new phone? The games are enabled to be saved through Google Play Games.

Hey @JmibobP ,

 

that is odd as this option appears to be available for the S10 too. What games do you have on your phone? Before trying to sync and save this, have you signed in to these games using your Google Account?

I have signed into the games using my Google Account in the S8 and S10 but the saved data from the S8 does not appear in the Google Play Games in the S10. I have tried numerous things, such as clearing the cache for the Google Play Games and Google Play Service apps, deleting and reinstalling the relevant games, but nothing seems to work.

 

It just appears that the "Play Games Cloud Save" is not available on my S10?!

Hey @JmibobP!

It may be worth updating the Google Play Games app as well as the Google Play Services. After this, you can also update your phone via: Settings > Software update > Download updates manually and restarting the phone. Can you see it now?
