"Hey Google" not working in Android Auto after upgrade to Android 10

Hey guys & gals,

My phone was updated to Android 10 last week, and got the January security updates a day or so later.

Ever since the upgrade, I've found that when my phone is connected to the car (Volvo V90) and Android Auto is selected, it doesn't ever respond to "Hey Google" or "OK Google". When the phone is disconnected from the car, Google Assistant can hear me say "Hey Google" fine. I've checked all the settings, cleared the cache partition, cleared the cache and data in the apps, and even done a factory reset at the weekend, but the problem still persists.

I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem? And did you find a fix for it?

Yep still got the same issue. Looks like it's a bug with Android 10, and is affecting quite a few users. The goodie 6 Android auto forums have quite a few reports.
