The time needed to press on power button to boot up

First Poster

I have the 512 gb version. The time to press on power button to boot up seemed longer to me and I tested with other Note 9's with the same android version. My power button needed to be pressed 3.5 seconds to boot up, whereas others took like 2-2.5 seconds. I find the duration to be different odd since I thought that it's fixed for all them. What might be done to decrease that time?

That's something I've not really thought about to be honest @droidfan

I'm.using an unlocked Samsung Note 9 512Gb purchased directly from Samsung Uk.

I press on my power button for approx 2_3 seconds.

I really do not think their is anything you can do apart from look at perhaps apps you have downloaded that might be delaying things.

Does your Note 9 boot up pretty quickly ?

It was existent from the start before I installed any apps, and this was the first thing I noticed. The rest of the boot-up seems ok although I haven't really compared the overall boot-up time with others, but this problem is quite noticable. Even my old phone's power button needs 2 seconds of pressing on. The only difference I can come up is that I did not insert my sim card to be able to return it. But it mustn't be the culprit because the phones in Samsung showrooms do not have sim cards as well. This problem might be a minor thing, but it is still annoying after paying a lot of money.

Yes the phones in a Samsung Experience Store are in retail mode so no sim card is present.

I do appreciate that people look at different processes on a phone and I'm sure for many the time taken to turn it on is one.

I've used many phones in my life time and they all operate differently.

One cannot really compare how long it takes to turn on with another as they are different internally in regards to chipsets and internal processes.

I can only but suggest to try and look past the extra couple of seconds it takes to boot up and enjoy what the phone brings when its fired up.
