Note 9 Rear camera clicking noise

SOLVED

Hi everyone. I have upgraded from the Note 8 and the first thing I noticed when taking a picture with the rear cameras was a very distinctive click noise when I open the Camera app.

It is also present when the camera is used by any other app. Is this normal?

My only logical explanation is that the sounds is made by the dual aperture ( which is not present on the Note 8 ) adjusting when the camera is turned on. Should I be worried ?

Thanks

Hi @Mada18

Yes there is a slight click when launching the Note 9 camera app.

It's nothing to worry about.

It's the same on my own Note 9.

@BandOfBrothers Thank you!! 👍👍

This is the shutter, when you open the camera it opens or closes depending on the light condition. If you hear that click that is good information, it means it works

Thank you. I have grown to like it in a way, it's like a confirmation that everything is running ok. Thanks for your reply.

No problem You can check that by going to Pro Mode and switching the aperture from 2.4 to 1.5 and opposite, you'll hear the same noise Screenshot_20180921-131322_Camera.jpg
