UPDATE: Samsung UK's Boilerplate Evasiveness
As you can see, it seems that maybe Samsung UK are too embarrassed by their short-sighted decision to ditch selling their Chromebooks in Europe, in that they have FAILED to post an official confirmation in this thread that the new Samsung Galaxy Chromebook will never be available to buy in the UK.
I asked for the same confirmation from Samsung UK in their Facebook Messenger channel (see conversation excerpt below) - and at least I got a reply, albeit an unhelpful exercise in boilerplate evasiveness.
So I ended up buying my Samsung Galaxy Chromebook in the USA, from a seller on eBay.com, based in Shelby Township, Michigan, and swiftly delivered by FedEx.
While I am indeed delighted with my new Samsung Galaxy Chromebook - on which I am handwriting this update in tablet mode - the lacklustre boilerplate evasiveness of Samsung UK to a simple pre-purchase question will leave a sour taste in the mouth for months to come.
Samsung UK, Facebook Messenger channel:
Me:
[...] Samsung chose to exit the laptop market in the UK six years ago, or so it seems:
"Samsung has decided to exit the laptop market, stopping sales of [...] Chromebook devices in Europe, PC Advisor can confirm.
"In Europe, we will be discontinuing sales of laptops including Chromebooks for now. This is specific to the region – and is not necessarily reflective of conditions in other markets," said a Samsung spokesperson."

https://www.techadvisor.co.uk/feature/laptop/samsung-exits-laptop-market-including-chromebooks-35734... Before I commit to a Samsung Galaxy Chromebook grey import option, from USA to UK, I'd like to get official confirmation from Samsung that your new Samsung Galaxy Chromebook will NOT be available to buy in the UK between today (21 Apr 2020) and 31 Dec 2020.
Thanks in advance for your prompt response,Tim Jones
Samsung UK:
Hey Tim. We appreciate you coming through to us with this. Unfortunately, we are unable to confirm any specific details on products that have not yet launched as we do not have any information on this. We appreciate this may be frustrating, but we'd recommend keeping an eye on our website for information on any further products. ^CC

Since there's no indication at all in your reply to lead me to believe that Samsung will ever overturn your short-sighted six-year-old "No Samsung Chromebooks for Europe" policy, then I'll have to buy my Samsung Galaxy Chromebook in the USA, and then arrange for the added complication of a grey import option, from USA to UK. While I will no doubt get many years of enjoyable service from my my Samsung Galaxy Chromebook, the frustration of not being able to buy one in the UK, combined with the boilerplate evasiveness of Samsung UK's response to a simple pre-purchase question, will leave a sour taste in the mouth for months to come.
