Odd freesync range on Samsung C27HG70, LFC kick in at 60fps

So i just got this monitor and i went on and test out freesync, since its my first time with adaptive sync.

I also see that i have the 1020 driver, which is supposed to increase the range to 48-144

I tested this with more games but mainly Overwatch since i can set a custom fps limit there. Freesync seems to do its job in the 60-144 range. Whenever i go lower that that, it seems that freesync just stops and LFC kicks in. I see this because under 60fps, my monitor hz is doubled. So 55FPS sets my monitor hz to 110.

My advice is to simply not use the ultimate engine. Mainly because of the horrendous overshooting in lower frame rates which causes the screen to go purple at all movement. If Freesync is important to you I'd return the screen if possible.
