I have had this since I first bought the soundbar a good few years ago, but I have had cause to try and sort something else out to factory reset the soundbar so nothing has changed as far as the settings are concerned on the TV or the sounder as the bar was set to default anyway IE no updates.
My tv is the UE55F8000.
The bar is connected via ARC.
The auto power is set so it starts when the tv is turned on and goes off when the tv is turned off.
A few times a day the bar turns itself on even though the tv is switched off (standby)
Funny thing is it's around the same time each time.
11.00pm, 1.30am, 10.00am, 17.00.
The bar has a crescendo sound when it turns on and then off so you can't miss it.
The bar turns itself on and then will sit there (if not touched) until the auto power shutdown cuts in.
The bar works fine as it should apart from that strange bit.
The one thing I have noticed is that when it does it the TV kind of click/chinks like when you first turn a tv on/powers up, but does not come on.
This click/***** of the TV only happens when the bar auto powers down and not when the bar comes on...hope anyone can follow that.
