Hi,

While watching a program (from TV, app in TV,...) the sound randomly cut with little pop and comeback.

It's annoying especially for the price of this sound bar.

Anyone had that and manged it?

TV is ag9sony bar is connected via hdmi.

No problem with other sound systems.

Can confirm this issue occurs on FW 1010.5 to an LG CX tv as well. I have the HW-Q80R, so I believe the same issue occurs with this SKU as with the HW-Q90R.

Only occurs when using HDMI connection over eARC. Using passthrough method with soundbar does not produce the same issue.

Hello,

Same problem here.

I have a LG OLED55CX fully up-to-date and a Samsung HW-Q70R soundbar with the "HW-Q70RWWB-1010.5 128" firmware and I can clearly hear pops while playing anything (local movies on my NAS played through a Xiaomi MiBox 3, or while using the LG Netflix app for example).

The used cable is an HDMI 2.1 so it shouldn't be the culprit.

Do someone from Samsung check this forum sometimes?

Has this earc popping issue already been solved? I would like to buy this soundbar for my Sony.

Nope, not yet.

But we now have a new game: each pop you hear, a crunch you do.

No need to say that I have a *****ing 6-pack now.

Seriously Samsung, did you test your eARC update?

Hmm, that's a shame and especially after 9 months of waiting you expect a stable earc update.

I’m afraid this won’t end well regarding now the new models are available. 😫

Come one Samsung. I've got the HW-Q80R and like everyone else get popping sounds and the sound cuts off in Windows 10 if I play sound files and exit them quick enough. Disabling eARC fixes it but we shouldn't have to do this. We need an official response.
