Connect soundbar HW-J250

I've recently bought a Samsung UE40KU6100 and a Samsung soundbar HW-J250. I woud like to control the volume of the soundbar with the rc of the tv instead of the rc of the soundbar. Can someone help me with this?

Hi ChrisM, the problem is sorted. The HW-J250 can be connected by BT or optical link only. My new TV is a of the 6-generation Samsung smart-TV's, this generation does not support BT. Linking the soundbar by optical links remains as the only possible solutions, but in that case the sound cannot be controlled with the TV-remote. So I decided to return the soundbar to the webshop and ordered a new one, with HDMI to connect to the TV. This worked fine and now sound can be managed with RC of the TV.

Hi, can I ask which replacement soundbar you got? I'm looking for one also

I traded this one in for the HW-K550. I'm satisfied with this one, the subwoofer is a bit big only.
