Sd card not inserted galaxy s8 plus

I have an S8+ which when I first purchased in May 2017, I inserted an SD card and was saving photo's and music etc to the card. It's a Samsung EVO 64gb card.

I was on holiday in the Maldives last week, obviously taking lots of photos when my phone said I had no space left. I tried to check the SD card in the phone but the phone is saying there's no SD card inserted!

I am gutted, I had to delete some of the photos that were in the internal memory to allow me to save new photos.

Does anyone else have the problem where the phone doesn't recognise the SD card? If so, any tips on how to fix it?

I have tried removing it and replacing it several times but nothing works.

I've used my SanDisk Sd card in my s7 edge and s8 without issue fortunately.

Are you able to try the Sd card in another device as a process of elimination to rule out the phone or Sd card at issue.

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.
