Screen looks Scratch

Hello I had the Samsung s8 for over a week now but I kept the cover on phone that came with it till I got my led cover deilver but when I came to take the cover off that came with phone I notice a line going across the screen I rub it thinking it was just a bit of dirt but it is not if I take it back to Samsung will they just say I should have notice it sooner but you cannot see the mark with the cover on  many thanks lee

You're going to need to ask them directly.

They could say it was your responsibility to check it asap although I do feel for you as you've tried to keep it in pristine condition by leaving the in transit plastic on.

It's a shame you didn't notice before pulling off the In Transfer stickers as you would have been able to point that out because once it's pulled off there is no way it can be re affixed like it's done in the Manufacturing plant.

Personally I always fire up the phone in the store to ensure...

It turns On.
No marks. I remove the In Transit covers and affix a Samsung Screen Protector.
No pink tint to the screen.

Have you tried to clean the screen with a alcohol type wipe to see if it is some thing that can be removed? as as plastic case should in no way be able to damage the glass I have to say it would be ultra rare for it to be a manufacturing fault in the glass, the best way would be a alcohol wipe and a clean off with a microfiber cloth if it remains the best thing to do would be to go to a Samsung experience shop to have it looked at.

Yes I tried to clean it but no joy you have to have the phone a certain way to see it that's why I probably did not notice it sooner now I know it there am annoyed that I did not check if the cover came the same day as phone I would have been ok

From my understanding of the opening post the Op decided to leave the In Transit protective plastic covers On while their chosen purchased case arrived, so is suggesting this must have happened at source and shipped that way. 

Have you considered using a Samsung Screen shield. This could further mask the scratch. Especially if the retailer who supplied the phone decline replacement. 

When I took my In Transit protectors off in the store to check I then replaced it the best I could , put it back in the box and went home to fit the screen protector I'd already had shipped to me. 

Still awaiting the dbrand Dragon Skin mind !

So it's not a in dent in to the glass? as long as the surface is not defaced it is most possible a imperfection in the glass (rare as it is) so I would take it in to a store for an exchange samsung have this policy (copied from there site)
