Suddenly stopped fast charging and charging very slowly. Phone 8 months old. No damage. Nothing happened. Fast charging on. Don't really want to send it away. Quick fixes please. Could it be the charger? How would I know? Please advise. Thanks Amanda

Try your charger cable and brick with another phone.
Try another cable and brick.with your phone.
Look with a torch to check no debris is in the chsrging port.
Try a fast charge pad or desktop stand.
Finally a Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre location can run a diagnostic on the device.

I m using a5. My one is also not working.
It is sudenly stoped. You need to fix it.

If the previous advice does not work then contact Samsung Customer Care and it visit a Samsung service location or Samsung Experience Store.

My friend haves the same problem , it's not from his power cable or adaptor because on my note 8 , the fast charging is working perfectly .
I have no idea why his phone is not fast charging

Hi! I am also facing the same problem . My a5 was no having fast charging after i got this latest os update. Power cable and adapter are fine they supply fast charging to other devices not for this a520f

My samsung a5 2017 after get the latest os won't fast charging.
also when the battery is 0%, it wont charge up. (and if i use powerbank, i will charge but still the fast charging not working).
please help to fix this problem.
its not from my cable or power adapter, because its works fine on another a5 2017 (hasn't update the latest os yet) and the fast charging works fine.

Try clearing the cache partition on your device.
1. Turn your device off, if it isn't off already.
2. Once the device is off, hold the volume up, home and power buttons at the same time for 10 seconds. Keep holding the buttons until you see a Samsung Logo.
3. Using the volume down button, scroll down to wipe cache partition.
4. Press the power button.
