At this stage, please confirm the model number, located on the sticker on the back of the device, and I will look into this further for you.

In the meantime, please can you let me know if you can see a red light when the TV is plugged in, and in standby? If so, is the light flashing, or constantly lit?

Hi please can anyone suggest what might have happened? My TV has literally stopped working. It was fine last week but refuses to switch on today. I've checked the cables and changed the fuse. Thanks

@Members_YmBl2Ak: Please note that I have removed the photograph attached to your previous post, as it contained key identifying information such as the serial number. I have edited the post to include the model number for visibility purposes.

If you can't see a red light, then please make sure that the plug is pushed all the way into the power outlet. If it is, try plugging another device into the same outlet to ensure that it is working correctly. I also recommend trying the TV in an alternate power outlet, to see if the issue persists. Furthermore, if the power cable at the back of the TV is removable, please check that it is firmly inserted.

https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/spare-parts/

If the TV will still not power on, then I recommend arranging for the device to be inspected by authorised engineer via our pick up service. To do so, please follow the link below, click on 'TV and Audio Visual' and follow the on-screen instructions.

Recently I am noticing a trend. Not just in TVs.

Samsung products stop working after a few years.

-----------------

Mobile

-----------------

3 x S22 phones (Mom's , Wife's and Sister's) display developed a green like just a day after OneUI 7 update.

Samsung service would not accept it was due to update even though so many YouTube videos exist on why hardware fails after the update.

-----------------

TV

-----------------

Now my TV 75Q80R bought 4 years ago in Dubai for 8000 aed, just stopped working. TV has been on the wall in the same position. No mishandling. Main's trip in the house is fine. Power supply extension cord has fuse for any power surge. We had taken every precaution possible.

Samsung service wont say what caused the issue but say we need to pay 7000 aed for screen replacement. It doesn't make any sense to replace a 5 year old TV for almost 88% of original cost.

-----------------

What I learnt

-----------------

Samsung products are not durable anymore like they used to. Customer service is just pathetic when things go bad.

-----------------

Warranty

-----------------

1 year warranty + If we go for PAID Samsung care, we are covered for 3 more years.

So a maximum of 4 years is all we can expect the device to run without worries.

After that, it is all left to GOOD LUCK.

If it works after that 4 years window, we are lucky else we need to pay 70-90% of the cost for repair.

-----------------

Decision

-----------------

Almost everything in our home is from Samsung. Almost 20+ devices.

I am not buying Samsung products again.

They are nice to have as long as they last.
