Stewie,

I did fine until I got to "Select MENU". There was no menu. Finally figured out that I had skipped the part of your instructions for pairing the headphones, because they were already paired - but I had turned them OFF. When I went thru it again with the headphones On (still never saw a MENU) I found the accessibility section and was able to turn on the multi audio function! Thank you!

I have a UE40H6400 TV with Bluetooth earphones paired and connected. The option for multi audio output does not exist in the accessibility menu, not even greyed out. Any ideas how to get it to show? I can only get sound either through the TV speakers or my Bluetooth earphones.

Hi there,

Sync issues are so frustrating, aren't they !?

I usually find that "resetting" the headphones resolves this issue; I had this problem trying to use Sony MDR-ZX330BT headphones with my Samsung TV - it's something to do with "bit rate", whatever that's all about !?

There should be a reset "hole" somewhere on the side of your headphones, (not all headphone brands are kind enough to print "reset" above said hole).

Whilst the headphones are "turned on" use a sim tray pin in the hole & you might feel a "click", keep it depressed & you may get an audible message confirming reset, or it may just "beep". Switch headphones off then try pairing them with your TV again & hopefully the "bit rate" & sync will be on queue. (Please remember to delete the original pairing on your TV before trying to pair again).

Failing this, I'm not 100% sure of any alternative other than fiddling with the TV's audio delay settings, but that in itself is a whole other world of annoyance in trying to get everything synced correctly.

Good luck my friend, hope the "reset" option works for you.

Thank you so much! I have been trying to figure this out since I got my 2019 Samsung Q9 set. For that much money it should be an easy feature to enable. I modified the instructions somewhat based on the TV and my FIOS source.

How to enable multi-audio output on Samsung TV, using the TV remote:

1. Select SETTINGS > SOUND > SOUND OUTPUT > SPEAKER LIST and select a paired Bluetooth speaker device, e.g. headphones or speaker.

2. Select SOURCE and select TV (takes you off FIOS source temporarily).

3. Select SETTINGS > GENERAL > ACCESSIBILITY.

4. Scroll down to MULTI-OUTPUT AUDIO and change from OFF to ON.

The sound will now be heard through both the TV Speakers and the Bluetooth device.

5. Select SOURCE again and re-select FIOS.

Exactly, "For that much money it should be an easy feature to enable."
I tried the methods above many times, but the option doesn't work on UE55MU7002. I paid 1300 euro in 2017 to get a grey option from ignorant and arrogant Samsung.

I had the same problem, (different TV model and different sound-bar model but same problem!)

I found that I can connect and listen to bluetooth headphones (providing sound-bar was connected via HDMI and not bluetooth) and I could also listen to via sound-bar.... but not both.

Found it impossible to have sound from sound-bar AND headphones....

however, if i first connect the headphones and then as advised above go to the accessibility settings I can then choose multi-sound IF (big IF) I have disconnected the sound bar and have sound though the TV

so headphones and TV = YES

headphones and sound-bar = NO

This is really annoying, because my sound-bar is connected via HDMI and not bluetooth, so there is no clash. if it works for TV speakers, why not sound-bar....

I havent tried the optical output to sound-bar yet but if anyone finds a solution to multi sound via sound-bar and headphones, please let me know

@StewieGriffin wrote:

Hi folks, I have your ANSWER.

If you have a SKY, Virgin Media, BT TV, Blu-Ray player connected, the Multi-Audio Output will be disabled. BUT this is NOT a problem !! Leave it ALL attached & follow these steps to hard-of-hearing happier viewing !!

FIRST: Pair your Bluetooth Headphones-

Turn on your Bluetooth headphones & on your TV remote: Menu / select Sound / select Speaker List / selects Bluetooth Audio Devices / select your Bluetooth headphones from the list and they will pair & connect. You will hear sound ONLY on your Bluetooth headphones. Don't worry !! Here us how you get it on the TV Speakers at the SAME TIME as your Bluetooth headphones:

1. Press SOURCE on your TV remote and select TV which takes you OFF your SKY / Virgin Media box and onto FREEVIEW !!

This step is VERY IMPORTANT !!

2. Select MENU

3. Select SYSTEM

4. Select ACCESSIBILITY

5. You WILL now see "Multi-output Audio" is enabled, so NOW select it and change from OFF to ON.

The sound WILL now be audible through BOTH the TV Speakers AND your Bluetooth headphones. There is ABSOLUTELY NO AUDIO TIME DELAY & sound perfectly matches TV Speakers and mouths on the screen.

Now all you need to do is press SOURCE & gi back ti select your SKY / Virgin Media & sound comes from TV Speakers AND Bluetooth headphones in PERFECT HARMONY !!

Took me MONTHS to figure this out for myself as the online support was rubbish. These steps are the same to perfectly sound-synchronise your Bluetooth Soundbars / Home Cinema Systems via Bluetooth.

Good luck EVERYONE !!

VERY pleased to help you ALL.

Kind Regards, Stewie Griffin.

Thanks for this! I still can't select both Bluetooth headphones and soundbar simultaneously. I have a feeling that multi audio turns itself off? So close.... any help (with step by step instructions please if possible! TIA

Thanks for your post, but sadly the option for multi audio out does not exist under Accessibility or anywhere else on my TV. Can only get sound through either the TV speakers or Bluetooth, not both simultaneously. Bought one of these which connects to the optical audio out and is powered from one of the TV USB ports. Works perfectly, will connect to 2 Bluetooth headphones or other speaker devices simultaneously, has volume control, and if I so wish I can mute the TV speakers and just listen through my headphones. Avantree Audkast 5.0+

Still waiting for a clear simple answer, must be a simple solution.

I've advanced in the procedure.

I manage to get sound simultaneously in the TV and soundbar by optical cable, but there is a lag in sound. To do this, u need to pair soundbar and TV by optical, than press "TV speaker" from sound output. In this case the volume needs to be changed in both devices, using the TV and soundbar remote controls.

The Audio delay error is not solved from the menu - Sound expert - audio delay (increase or decrease) .

I assume in Bluetooth method (not working for me becouse Multi-Output Audio is grey) both devices are audio synchronized.

Please help
