Samsung removing SMART IPTV from Apps after update?

Hello,

is it true that samsung is removing SMART IPTV application on all models after update?

If yes, why this is happening, smart iptv is one of rare m3u players?

As this is a third party application I would contact the developer directly to enquire about any future availability issues on your model of TV.

how the developer can answer this question since samsung is removing application during overnight without even any previous notice, we had this case before

Hi @MarkosLov Can you provide a source that IPTV app is being removed from Samsung TV's ,I've just seen reports such such as this one https://iptv.community/threads/samsung-removing-smart-iptv-from-all-tvs.9505/. That is exactly same site where I saw the news, the link you posted.

However, today I sent email to SIP support and they said this is fake news

However, i do not understand why they still don't have available app for 2018 models of tv

HI @MarkosLov, thanks for response-just goes to show that some information online is not accurate. Not sure on the 2018 sets but perhaps Samsung do not see it as a priority.

My IPTV provider told me it is true all 2018 Samsung Tv's don't have it and will be removed in future firmware updates

Whilst I do not use Smart IPTV, noticed app was still available on 2017 set after the 1230 firmware.

Me too, might wait and see what happens I use a different IPTV app so not too fussed apart from loosing my fiver I paid for the app

100% correct, I’ve just bought a q7 2018 tv and cannot get any Iptv apps to run.....
If you know of how I could it would be great

Looks like if you want IPTV don't buy a Samsung or get a shield.

Get a fire stick or fire box for 4k then loads the IPTV apps there
