Also we have three older Samsung TV's that do not have this issue at all. It is only the 14 new ones.

for reference the older TV model is a UN50TU7000BXZA

My tv has started having a red tint on the screen randomly over the past couple of months. The issue is specifically when any video is playing and not the app menu or settings. Sometimes turning off and back on has resolved it, but not every time. I have tried the following with no permanent resolution.

- Resetting the picture (all picture settings appear fine too)

- Self diagnosis for the picture shows no problems.

- I have verified it is not an HDMI issue as the problem stays when no HDMI connections are made.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi @NickTV Welcome to the Samsung community Is the red tint on all sources and how prominent is it, a picture may help. However generally tints can be caused by a variety of factors such as firmware glitches, HDMI connection problems, or hardware failures like panel defects or power supply issue . check you have the latest update and that connections are secure. when disconnecting the HDMI cables have you also switched off the Tv at mains. Best to give it a minute before reconnecting. Could also Factory Reset.

In the meantime, please try heading to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Tint (G/R), and check to see if you can adjust the picture to your preference from here.

I didn't take a photo when it wasn't working unfortunately, but below is photo online that is roughly equivalent. The tint is on everything except the home page app selection, settings, etc.

I also verified no new updates were available. I could try a full factory reset next time the problem arises.

I did not switch it off at mains. I'll test this next time it pops up too.

If you notice that sometimes the problem goes away and the menus and settings look normal, that means the display is fine. I would check the wiring harnesses, if that doesn't help, you will have to replace the main board. It wouldn't hurt to do a factory reset before doing that.

Looking for an answer to this issue as well. My wife and I own a Sports bar and we just bought 14 Samsung TV's, every single one has this issue. It is very random when this happens, we have changed HDMI cables, Inputs ect. It will happen even with out a source hooked up to any Input. It is also random as to which one of the TVs do this. Sometimes its one TV, sometimes it could be 5 TVs.

They are all the same model and size. All firmware is up to date etc. Have done full reset on all and have ran Device care on each. These TV's are 2 months old and have done this since day one of install.

I purchased a 43 & 50 inch in December and both are having the same issues. I've chatted with Samsung Support and allowed remote access to the TV and all they did was a color test which didn't fix anything as I have the default settings. They promised a e-coupon as both TV's are part of the models which Samsung considered defective but now after checking on when I'll receive the e-coupon for replacement they want to send out a Technician. Why should I be repairing new TV's, come on Samsung you know they are defective, do the right thing 🙂
