Recent apps not viewable

On my Samsung galaxy tab s 7 plus, when I have over 5 apps in the background and I press the recent apps button at the bottom of the screen, I can barely see the edges of two of them as they are all off the screen to the right. I can only view them properly if I close 1 or 2 of them and then the rest appear fine.

Does anyone know why this is and how to fix the problem?

No, it won't let me, cos I can barely see only 2 apps

It doesn't happen all the time, but it does occur frequently
