I use CX File explorer which works OK. However, the problem is apps like Office, or anything else which requires access to external devices keep crashing. I managed to move all of my data over to internal storage to solve the issue but this is impractical. I have a 256Gb micro SD card which I can't use to save my work on.

The best Android tablet there is, however if you have the Android 11 update you can say goodbye to external storage devices including SD cards because no apps can access them. Wish I'd kept it on Android 10.

hello

indeed, a beastly device...

you may use ES File Explorer app to manage your SD card

this can be downloaded from Galaxy Store

give your tablet a fresh restart too (turn off and on)

stay safe 😉

i uninstalled the Google File Manager updates back to the factory version and it solved a lot of crashes. i don't know if that helps but worth a try. my external storage is working currently.
