    <description>hi thanks for the suggestions, there is no auto brightness option in my display settings but there is adaptive brightness which I had thought would help my screen on these dull Scottish days. But you're right, turned off the adaptive brightness (&amp;amp; my 'dim' logic) and I now have a tablet that restarts bright enough to see. Thank you.</description>

      <description>My new tab A7 is always at minimum brightness when I start it, I require to increase it manually each time. The adaptive brightness setting&amp;nbsp; is selected but I presume that should not be the problem.&amp;nbsp; Any suggestions?</description>
