Samsung account ID

This is a weird one. I bought a Samsung A15 phone and set it up with my new email, all good there. About a month ago I bought a Samsung Tab A11 tablet and set it up also using my new email.

However, the weird thing is, with the tablet I've gone into the setting to check something and under, where it states my name, I tapped on it and under Account ID it's got my old Virgin Media email which I don't use anymore. My question is how do I change it? I've tried to change it in the tablet itself with my new email but it's not letting me saying 'this email is already in use'.

Samsung are also still sending me emails to my old Virgin Media email which is why I'm not getting important emails from them only marketing stuff.

Can anyone suggest how to change this old email to the one I'm using in my tablet please?

@Members_H56odzo: That is certainly a strange one. When you set up your Tab A11, did you enter the Samsung account email address and password that you used on your Galaxy A15? It won't be possible to change the details of the account on one device without the changes being reflected on the other, but on your tablet or phone please follow the steps below.

1. Swipe up from your Home screen, then select Settings (cog symbol) from the Apps screen. Alternatively, swipe down from the top right corner of the Home screen, then tap the cog symbol in the top right corner.

2. Select your Samsung account at the top of the Settings menu

3. Select 'Profile Info' > Email > Change, then follow the on-screen instructions.

Now, move over to your other device, head to Settings > Accounts and backup > Manage accounts > Samsung account > Remove account > Back > Add account > Samsung > Follow the on-screen instructions. Make sure at this stage to enter the email address that you assigned in the steps above, and you should be good to go.

Thank you for your quick response. I only saw it now as likely notifications went to my old VM account rather than my Gmail account. On setting up the Tab A11, I only used correct and up to date information i.e. my current email. Somehow my old VM account snuck in.

Thank you also for sending me instruction to change the email under Account ID. I'm trying to do this but from the tablet initially or should I do this from my mobile?

When I start from the tablet, it's states on trying to update the email: 'there's already an account with that ID'
