Anyone having issues with games on Galaxy Tab A11?

Is anyone having issue with games, eg: camera locked and moving with joystick or the joystick is in a fixed position, Specifically in roblox as my son can't play it. Anything helps

Really frustrating - bought a11 as a Christmas present and Roblox constantly glitches out and is pretty much unplayable. Surely a software fix needed here Samsung?

Same with my kids new A11 devices. Both are complaining Roblox is pretty much unplayable, along with most simple games. For new customers I would stay away from this series of hardware from Samsung.

FYI - It works better when I plug in a wired headphones or an OTG device like an external drive etc into the usb-c port.

Still accasional interruption with the multitouch though - might be a combination of hardware/OS issue? Hope there's a fix for it without me having to workaround it to make it "better"

It does seem that headphones but sadly the glitch still happens quite often - really disruptive to gameplay. I believe this tablet will be released in the US Jan 8th. This will not go well for Samsung's reputation if it is remains unresolved.

Yeah I had to return both devices.

Shame really as they were the right size (I.e. not too big).

Who knows if Samsung are listening and will do anything about it before these tablets hit the US? Especially when so many children (amd adults!) play games with two touch controls!

Yep just got my son one for Xmas and having to resort to his old one as roblox don't work on his a11 but works ace on the a7

Oh wow that sucks there's EU laws right? Is clearly a bug that needs to be fixed, might need to talk to Samsung directly.

Understanding there will be bugs here and there, but if it's not working as intended then it is the wrong product for the customer.

They have a legal responsibility to accept the return under the consumer rights act 2015. You can explain the device is not fit for purpose due to an inherent multi-touch fault.

I got an exchange yesterday (like for like A11) but the fault was exactly the same so I went back to the retailer today to get a full refund and cancelled contract (I had an airtime data package)

Yep argos stated refund not permitted due to being opened and tried it has to be sent to samsung and if they deem a fault then they will refund but it's a few week wait so il just wait for a hopeful update

FYI - I demonstrated the fault in the shop using the Samsung Members diagnostic

If you run the touchscreen test you have a full screen of small grey boxes you touch to turn blue. If you hold the tablet in gameplay mode (ie like a controller with your thumbs on either side) and then using just your thumbs for continual input (as you would in a 3D game) you can see that after a few secons the input stops -and you are unable to fill in any more boxes.

It's quite amazing that when placing the tablet down on a surface and using just your fingers (ie you are touching the screen and no part of the frame itself) then it seems to work fine. I suspect this is more than just a software issue - some grounding problem in the hardware seems likely.

I can't be 100% sure - but try the test I suggested with the tablet flat and using just your index fingers (being careful not to touch the frame) you'll see it works fine. Holding the tablet (touching the frame) and using 2 thumbs it glitches. Interestingly I tested holding the tablet in one hand and used all fingers on the other hand and it seemd fine -- it really seems to be only when holding the tab as one normally does to play games like roblox or minecraft that this problem happens.

Yep getting the exact same thing, I wonder if it's worth taking it apart and maybe seeing if there's a internal issue with something touching the frame or screen that might be making it act up, Im on the edge about doing it as it will void my warranty

I certainly wouldn't try anything like that. Not sure where you are in the world but for sure in the UK or EU there are consumer rights laws that ensure the retailer provides goods that meet an expected standard and are fit for purpose. You should be able to take the tablet back and get a full refund. If the retailer suggests they send it for repair you can still decline that (since the issue seems to be inherent with that make and model)
