It's not washed out, it's just not the overly saturated look of older Samsung screens due to the use of DCI P3 as opposed to the sRGB in prior devices. They actually display a higher range of colours. If you want a somewhat similar look to the older devices with eye popping reds etc, go to settings>display>screen mode and enable Vivid. Then go to advanced settings and adjust the vividness slider.

If you watch modern HDR content, you'll see a distinct improvement compared to older devices, it's very significant quite frankly.

I just got s11 ultra to replace my old s8+. I instantly noticed how washed out the colors seemed to be compared to the old tablet (and color calibrated monitor of my PC). Despite changing display settings (including advanced ones), disabling eye comfort shield etc. the colors still don't look like they should and seem to be having almost blueish tint/lack saturation overall.

If I set vividness on max, the saturated red/blue/greens/yellow look better but light colors like beige or light pink turn completely gray.

Any help?

Hi, did you find any solution? This is driving me crazy because I read alot of color manhwa and comics, and watch anime, and the beige skin turn gray like you said, even in the minimum vivid setting, and in white balance reducing green and blue, it doesn't solve the issue.

Only in natural mode fixes this, but the colors become very dull.

Nope. I use vivid setting set to middle point and brightness to about 70%. It is ok. Not sure if it fixes itself over time or I just got used to it.

I use the tablet to make art so colors do matter, have to check images afterwards on PC for final corrections. As said, overall they look all right.

I think you just got used to it, but in some cases is very noticible, I have a OLED samsung TV S90D, a Tab S7+, galaxy fold Z7, galaxy note 9, and no other screen have this problem, here is a comparison with my galaxy z fold7

Im returning my tab s11 ultra and maybe buy the tab s 10 ultra, or wait for a future model with better colors and keep my tab s7+ for now
