Forgot pattern on my tablet

I set my pattern lock and immediately forgot it. I want to factory reset, but can't. I cannot power off there tablet without a password. I've tried holding the power and volume up button, while having it plugged into my PC. I do not have it registered to an account (or whatever it is lol)...

Sadly I do not know the version of tablet it is. It has a white border with two black dots opposite of the charging port.

Alright, don't plug into your pc. Remove the cable and try doing the hard reset again using the power button and volume up button. If that didn't work then wait for battery to drain out and once it's off, connect to a charger and try again the hard reset.

Hold Power and Volume Down to force restart the device(with a USB cable connected to a PC); as soon as it restarts, hold Volume Down and Volume up until you enter the recovery mode, from there you can factory reset the device.
(Cable is required to facilitate recovery mode or download mode, at least on my device)

If you have a Google Account bound to the device, you will be required to enter the password to verify the device is yours.
