Extended unlock is a google feature that's existed for many many years. It's not new and not by samsung

Due to the security related nature of it, it'd rather lock your phone when it shouldn't than unlock it when it shouldn't.

As to why it's not working for you, I'm not sure. Maybe you live somewhere where the maps are wrong, maybe you set your home wrong, maybe there's not many wifi networks near you

I set up the Extend Unlock function for a trusted locaton, i.e. my home, as per the instruction, on my tablet (S9 FE, Android 15, but it hardly ever works. Most of the time I have to unlock via code. Why? Can it be that the function struggles to recognise the location, despite it being set to precise? Seems to me this piece of software is not mature enough to work reliably. Does it need more testing? Samsung, please fix. It really should work all the time while the device extendis in my home. The same applies to my smartphone.

I gave up on Extend Unlock and instead set up Modes and Routines. When I connect to my Wi-Fi, my phone stays unlocked. This seems to work quite well and a lot better than Extend Unlock.
