Is this a bug?

On the home screen, the time and battery information are black. They should be white. This only started happening this morning.

Yes but was it white before? It has nothing to do with dark mode. I did, however, turn on white mode, and it was still dark.

Yes. I've done a cheeky factory reset—I don't have a lot of stuff on the tablet, so I was prepared to do that

That's what I thought. But knowing that I always use dark mode the icon bar at the top should be white. This happened this morning. The other day it was white. Not sure how it changed. I did use Good Lock but that doesn't have an option to change colour. And no didn't change colour pallet.

Font colour changes depending on wallpaper background and settings (light or dark mode as well as dim wallpaper colours option). This is all part of Google Androids material UI.

I have the exact same wallpaper on my phone. That is white. Even, lol, doing a factory reset it's still black. 😵😃. Like I said this has happened today. I got the One UI 7 yesterday. Strange.

This is on my S24 Plus. See, it's white. And on my tablet, even after a factory reset, it's black. I can't see it well.

Not strange, just the way each OS is handling the colour schemes. It's obviously not the exact same algorithms used between OS so it's not reaching the same colour choices.

It could simply be a screen calibration difference between the tablet and phone, or simply resolution differences reach a different output of font colour. In any case, it isn't entirely unusual.

I updated my Tab S8 yesterday; this morning it went black. Even in dark mode, it was white. When I go into an app, it does go white. On the home menu, it's black. Strange. This is unusual.

@Jammy97 I'm experiencing the same thing on my Z Fold5 from time to time, so I've sent an Error report via the Samsung Members app. I'd suggest anyone else who is experiencing the issue does the same, as this will give our software engineers an idea of how widespread this is.

A little confused in what you're saying. On my Tab S8 Ultra, my homescreen is dark and my font is white. In the menus it's white as well. This is expected as I'm using Dark mode. It goes black in the menus when I turn dark mode off, as expected.
