Please note that developer settings are not a feature, but are for developer testing. To my understanding, they are not meant to be persistent after a reboot.

There are scripts you can use, which I won't be able to provide. Do your research. Be mindful when using developer settings.

Important notes: Experiment with caution. Developer options are intended for developers, and changing the wrong setting can cause unexpected behavior or instability. Research before changing: Always research a setting before changing it to understand its potential impact.

I have 2 settings i changed: disable hardware overlays to ON, and background limit to 3. I turned them on yesterday and today when playing they were off. Why do they automatically change back?

They change back as you aren't supposed to be messing with things you don't understand. Some settings you can change, some you cannot. Thats how things work

You know how one ui 7 is a modified android? Developer settings are settings on the android level, not the samsung level. So if samsung has some system in place to change how things work, the setting will no longer work. Eg, background limit is probably automatically changed by device care. Things in developer options aren't expected to work as we have non developer phones
