      <title>Unable to show factory reset screen</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Hi,&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Our son changed the login pattern for his tablet and can’t remember the new pattern.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;As a result, we can no longer log in to the tablet. I’ve tried accessing the factory reset screen using the power and volume buttons, but it’s not working.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When I hold both buttons, the tablet keeps restarting. If I release one or both buttons after the tablet shows the startup screen (Samsung logo) again, it always takes me back to the login screen for the pattern.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What am I doing wrong? My son is fine with a full factory reset of the tablet, but I can't seem to get it to work.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The tablet is a &lt;STRONG&gt;Galaxy Tab A9 Plus&lt;/STRONG&gt;, purchased in late 2024.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Best regards,&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Maarten&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/66776927"&gt;@johnz237&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks, I tried doing that and that did indeed help.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Connected the tablet to my laptop using USBc&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Pushed and held power &amp;amp; volume up button&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;When the display went dark, kept holding the power but switched from volume up to volume down&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;When the samsung logo showed, released both buttons&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>For others reading this, connecting a usb-c to a laptop works.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can also connect. Usb-c to another compatible mobile device that supports usb-c as well (not everyone has a pc or laptop). &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":folded_hands:"&gt;🙏&lt;/span&gt;</description>

I have tried multiple factory resets, I even tried this one (using the computer). It will not show the reset menu. It won't do anything. I have no idea how to go about fixing this.
