topic Bought a S8+. Is it still okay in 2024? in Tablets

I bought a renewed s8+ from Amazon for around $415USD and it's coming pretty soon. It's gonna be my first tablet that wasn't a family apple hand-me-down. I'm pretty excited for it to come.

However, I've been lurking around here for a while and saw post saying the chip in the s8+ has some problems on heating when charging. I also saw that people suggest of getting an s9 if it's my first tablet, but the s8+ was the cheapest I saw compared to a renewed s9 base that was over $500usd on Amazon. (I used Amazon since I had a combination of gift cards for Amazon). free robux website

I know that it won't have water/dust resistance like the s9 series, but I'm not planning to take near a body of water or take it out while it's dusting around outside, at least try not to.

I've looked at the size difference of th s9 and s7fe/s9+ at a best buy and a walmart (they didn't have the s8+ on display), and the plus size seems alright with me.

After reading posts on here, I'm kinda second guessing the s8+. I just trying to know, was this purchase an alright purchase in 2024?

I would be planning to use it for school, note take and read with multitasking in conjunction with a laptop, watch YouTube, light gaming, and read manga on the couch if that info would be any help.

Edit: Thank you, everyone! You made me feel more comfortable with the purchase! Can't wait for it to arrive!
