Camera distortion

Hi all....trying to set up my banking app on s9 ultra....have no issues with it working on my phone but when I try and set up biometric approval on the tablet it wants to use front camera to verify it's me and the image is very distorted.....no camera settings have been changed so unable to log in as it won't recognise me because of the distorted selfie. My bank already has my biometrics and the app only gives me this option to log in....can't change to a password for some reason....anyone know of any camera settings that would fix please

Hi, what mode are you using to take the photo? Are you using normal photo mode? Is the selfie camera working normally outside of the banking app?

Hi, yes selfie mode works fine outside the app....not given any option regarding which mode I use....the app asks for biometric approval and automatically opens the camera....it then asks me to centre my face within the frame but won't recognise me due to the distortion

Thanks. I, too, use the Tab S9U and haven't had any issues with the selfie camera. It's possible it's your banking app causing the issue and not the tablet. The only thing I can suggest is either try some different camera settings such as portrait mode, or change the aspect ratio. You can even try resetting the camera settings by opening the camera, tapping the cog wheel, and tapping 'Reset settings'.

Hi...if you haven't already solved this I think I have found the solution go to settings, advanced features, labs, landscape view for portrait apps and toggle it off for your banking app...this should enable you to use the biometric face recognition without the image been distorted
