If you know that your SD card isn't the issue, place it back into your device and boot it up in safe mode. While using safe mode, all third-party apps are disabled. This makes it easy to see if an app is causing the issue. Find out more about using safe mode

Press and hold the power button until the power off screen appears on your device

Press and hold the Power off icon until the Safe mode option is displayed

Tap Safe mode

Your device will reboot and start in safe mode

Check to see if your SD card is recognised

If your SD card is recognised, then it is likely that a third-party app is the issue. Restart your device and try uninstalling the most recent app downloaded onto your phone

Hello. I have just bought an A9 tablet, having been using my old Tab A previously. When I load an SD card which contains TV programmes from my old tablet, they don’t appear on the A9. I look on the storage & they appear to show in “Other files”, but I’m unable to access them.
I’ve put the SD card back in the old tablet & they still work on there.
Is there anything I can do to make these files accessible on my new A9?
Thank you.

Thank you, but my device does recognise the SD card. The issue is that it doesn’t show a lot of the files on there, although when I go to the “manage storage” tab, they are in “other files”.
I’m unable to access these files which are mostly mp4s.
Thank you.
