I have this same problem. Seems like 'eye comfort shield' -setting causes this issue for me. Eye comfort shield off and screen timeout works again. Very annoying because my usage is mostly at evenings when eye comfort shield needed for good sleep.

Tablet is updated to latest version.

#Galaxy Tab Active5 5G

Very annoying problem, the tablet is brand new, hardly any apps installed and the timeout does not work. The tablet stays always on. Have searched the internet en tried a lot but nothing works!

How can I find the app that makes the screen stay on and overrules the timeout setting?

Would appreciate a solution very much!

#Galaxy Tab Active5 5G

Bit of a contradiction there. You say the tablet screen doesn't turn off (timeout) and remains on, but then ask for an app that makes the screen stay on and overrule the timeout.

Either the screen timeouts or is doesn't. Which is it?

Thank you for sharing this "solved" an issue I had with screen timeout, is there a way to report this as a bug, seems like this setting should not affect screen timeout??

Yes, only 'solved' with that.

I reported the issue through the Samsung Members app. Hopefully, they'll fix it soon. In the meantime maybe use a third-party blue light filter if can find a reliable one.

Ok, fresh update today to One UI 6.1 seems to fix the problem. ✌️
