Facebook Profile Mode

I installed a Samsung Internet update yesterday and now my Facebook is stuck in portrait mode and won't switch to landscape. I've checked settings and auto rotate is switched on. Any help greatly received.

Settings>advanced features>Labs>landscape view for portrait apps. Scroll down the list to facebook and toggle on, also toggle on full screen.

I do not have "landscape view for portrait apps" under labs. Please provide alternative solution.

What tablet have you got?

Your screenshot suggests that you are using a phone not a tablet. The placement of certain text is wrong and I can also see the edge panel tab. Phones don't have the landscape view for portrait apps option.

Yes, Android Galaxy S22 smartphone. Landscape mode stopped working for Facebook a few weeks ago. I've done all the usual steps, bit it's still not working. Would appreciate any assistance!

First of all this thread is regarding tablets. For future reference please start your own post rather than interrupt others. As already stated that option doesn't exist on mobile phones. If Facebook isn't behaving as it should on your device please reach out to the app developer.

I have this problem on a Samsung Galaxy Tab A tablet. I do not see labs in advanced features, any suggestions please ?

That menu option is not available on your device. If you're having problems viewing Facebook on your tablet then best to reach out to the Facebook app developers.

Hey Robinn999, I followed those steps and Facebood did orientate in horizontal mode but the the image only took up 1/4 of the screen. It did not fill whole horizontal screen. There must be a better way. Actually I have another app that does the same thing. Very frustrating and I don't enjoy using my Samsung S6 lite tablet. because of this.

i reset it this way a few times before it stuck, buy now it won't go to full screen. it is tiny.

I found out that even if I download the Facebook app for android tablet on Google Play it still thinks it's a phone. So what I did is uninstall Facebook app. I use a search engine like Microsoft Edge or Google and type in Facebook.com and the first time it says to sign in and you save the sign on, the next time you key in Facebook and it brings up Facebook sign in and click on it, it goes directly to Facebook and everything is Landscape and you see the Facebook that you see on your phone, but in landscape mode. DO NOT USE the Facebook APP on an Android tablet. It doesn't work.

I can get it to go into landscape mode of course it doesn't do it properly and it ends up full of errors and crashing. I've tried all the tricks like clearing the cash reinstalling the app Etc. I can't believe a problem like this exists?
