Samsung Galaxy google security block- HELP!

I have a samsung galaxy tab E SM-T377W that I received Years ago through a cell phone provider when I bought a new cell phone. I set it up however I cannot remember my password. I reset the tablet but because I didn't Remove the Google account now it's locked to it and I cannot get past it. Is there anyone I can speak to? Apparently it's a security feature so that If the device gets stolen it can't be wiped and used by someone else? But I own it I just can't remember the password 😕 and I have gone through the do not remember the password feature, it says it sent an email to me but I never get it.

When you set up the tablet, you'll have set up a password (forgotten) and at least one recovery option.

Please think back to the email address you would have used at the time as that is likely the one you will have used.

Otherwise, you may may have to reach out to Google who may / may not be able to assist (assuming you can prove you own the device)
