OEM Unlock option isnt available in dev options - how to enable it?

I have a Tab A7 SM-T500 but OEM Unlock wont appear in dev options, how am I supposed to make it visible?

The device was bought from samsung like 2 years ago and absolutely nothing will get oem unlock to appear.

What does U1 mean in the status of OEM lock : On(U1) in download mode?

Have you tried to reset dev settings

Not sure where that is, but I have done multiple factory resets and reflashed stock fw, nothing seems to make it appear.

Navigate to @Apps in settings an then locate @Settings select and then storage , erase data , cache first

The option you gave just shows your bootloader is locked, but it can still be unlocked if:
1 - Google anti-theft is off(FR LOCK OFF) - remove all google accounts from device.
2 - Samsung anti-theft is off(KG STATE ACTIVE) - be connected 168 hours(7 days) to the internet, with your personal Samsung account.

This relates to One UI 6/7, as in ONE UI 8 this toggle was removed completely.
