BUG: After upgrade to One UI 6 physical keyboard not working

Hello

After upgrading my Tab S8+ to One UI 6 my BT external physical keyboard no longer works.

It is connected but no key presses work.

THIS MUST BE A BUG #Sigh#

I've cleared storage on Samsung Keyboard app

Tried another keyboard

Turned my mouse off. Leaving the keyboard the only device attached

Safe mode

Settings / general etc

I've even tried Samsung troubleshooting even though they only have their book keyboard option.

I really don't want to do a factory reset to find the fault is still there.

Does anyone have a fix or suggestions?

I have discovered that if I hold the keys/buttons down for a second it works. Then auto repeat then kicks in. This is definitely a bug. It would be nice to know I'm not the only one 😀

OTG Keyboard and Mouse Connection Issue on Samsung Mid and Low-Range Devices and Its Solution (Tested on Samsung Galaxy A15)

Samsung's mid and low-range devices sometimes fail to properly recognize or operate external keyboards and mice when connected via OTG. However, testing on the Samsung Galaxy A15 has revealed a successful workaround for this issue.

Solution 1: Using a Bridge Connection

When a keyboard or mouse is directly connected to the OTG adapter, the device often fails to recognize it. However, creating a "bridge" connection has been observed to help the device properly detect these peripherals. Here's how to do it:

1. Connect the OTG adapter to the phone.

2. Instead of plugging the keyboard or mouse directly into the OTG adapter, use a USB female-to-female adapter or a similar converter.

3. First, connect the keyboard to this adapter, and then plug it into the OTG adapter.

After using this method, the device successfully recognized the keyboard and mouse. Additionally, once this initial connection was made, subsequent direct connections (without the USB female-to-female adapter) also worked. This indicates that after the first successful detection, the device no longer required the bridge. This solution was tested and confirmed to work on the Samsung Galaxy A15.

Solution 2: Using a USB Hub

Another effective solution is using a USB hub. Follow these steps:

1. Connect your keyboard or mouse to a USB hub.

2. Then, plug the USB hub into the phone using an OTG adapter.
