Tab S6 not starting properly

My Tab S6 "startsup" - I can feel the vibration, but the screen doesn't come on.

If I plug an external monitor into the screen the Tab display appears on the monitor

Last night I was able to use the SPen to reset the device, even though the screen I was blank - the pen's "mouse" was appearing on the external monitor.

But now the tab has rebooted and is showing the Time and Padlock screen, and the SPen is not getting any response.

I've gone through the options to reboot - but pressing the power button for 2 minutes has no effect.

All thoughts welcome
