Tell me, does anyone have GPS working in this model? My location is determined only when the Internet is on. Through the GPS TEST application, it does not see satellites at all, even on the street in the open air. The official service confirms that this model has GPS.

GPS should not have internet connection mandatory. It should be able to do offline positioning.

Hi I just received a response from the local Samsung office - engineers confirmed bug in the firmware, a fix is being prepared for December.

Thank you. Much better than response I got from their social response team.

I posted negative review about GPS problem in Samsung website but their social response team posted usual non-sense about why you don't get GPS signal, location setting off etc.

They confirmed it is a software bug that will be fixed in the next update. Good luck with it, since my device went straight back to Samsung because of lack of communication.

Samsung is aware of the issue and will release an update for this issue in December. This update is scheduled to be released with Android 14. (Samsung Support Germany tell me that Information)

You don't need to return the device because it's a software bug that will be fixed in the next month (December) . I have had 3 replacement devices and they all had the same problem.

Thank you. I used Smart switch program on Computer to download and update firmware to X510XXU1AWJ8/X510OXM1SWJ8. GPS service is working fine and no more crazy battery drain.

Same problem here. GPS Test and Locusmap won't find Satellites. Received the S9 FE last Friday and sent it in as DOA on Monday. Received it back today with the comment that they could not reproduce the problem. But it is still exactly the same. Locus Map has now however a GPS fix every 10 seconds or so but still doesn't show Satellites. I'll wait now for the Update in December as mentioned in this thread. That's very frustrating

connect it to USB port of any computer running Samsung Smart switch program. You'll get update to fix GPS problem.

I run Windows 11 and it always asks me to update Samsung Smart Switch on the tablet even though the tablet has the lastest version. It seems I'm now stuck with Smart Switch 😞

Did you update your PC Smart switch to latest version? Or uninstall & reinstall PC Smart switch? I used Mac Smart switch.
