samsung tablet cover cursor not working

im using my samsung s7+ tablet's cover keyboard and the mouse pad just isnt working for me. i went through my settings, ive tried pressing Fn and the spacebar at the same time and holding it but nothing happened. the keys are working just fine, im even typing with them now, but the mouse pad will not work.

One thing to try, check the pins that attach to the tablet check both pins on both keyboard and tablet and see if they're clean, dirty contacts could have connection problems, or, if the keyboard is Bluetooth try reset the device by fully unpairing it and pairing it again.

Another thing to try: Restart your tablet, push and hold the power key until 3 options appear press the green restart option.

Try cleaning the 3 pins on the tablet and keyboard, I have the same problem on my base S7 with keyboard cover and quick wipe sorts it out

I have the same problem

Since the last upgrade of One UI, my touchpad is not working any more. In normal mode, as well as in dex mode. I have tried Fn + space and Fn + F6, but it didn't work.

Please help!!!

P.S. Someone in the forums wrote that after Android 13 update he needed to make Firmware update, and then it worked. ?!?

I had the same issue. Press Fn + F6 and that should turn it back on.

Yup, same here. Only difference is my tab 10 ultra arrived yesterday, it's got all the updates, everything is clean, it's been rebooted twice, but.... sometimes it works, sometimes it don't.... very! Very! Very! Frustrated 😠

i know this is a few years late, but i was having the same issue until i noticed there is a dedicated touchpad logo for the on the spacebar.

if anyone in here has the OEM samsung keyboard case with touchpad for the Tab s7 (mine is model TM-S870), look at the spacebar. if it has a logo on the right side of it with line through a touchpad, press Fn + Spacebar.

you will get a message on the screen that either says "Touchpad turned off" or "Touchpad turned on"

I have exactly the same issue. The touchpad of the book cover keyboard has become unresponsive. Typing on the keyboard still works. I tried Fn+Space or Fn+F6, both combinations didn't activate the touchpad. Cleaning contacts also didn't work. This is very frustrating, and Samsung hasn't solved this issue.

Same problem here.
After the last update, my touchpad isn't working anymore and I can't fix it. 😞

FN + F6 doesn't do anything.
FN + Spacebar also nothing.

No options left? I paid a lot for this Book Cover.... 😞

3 years later and Samsung hasn't provided a fix. The touchpad on my Galaxy Tab S9+ still doesn't work, after several software updates. Fn+F6 or Fn+space doesn't work, cleaning contacts doesn't work. Disappointing that Samsung doesn't support their users who pay top $$ for their top level tablets and keyboards. They aren't ready for professional use. I went back to ipad pro last year, everything just works, and Apple is still providing updates for an ipad I purchased more than 10 years ago.

I see I'm not the only one still upset about this. I look every few months to see if a solution has come up but there never seems to be one.
