USB-C headphones jack not supported?

Got a weird one, I use an USB-C headphones jack for my headphones which is an special hearing ***** hook so I can use it for my hearing *****.

If plug in the white jack no error messages however as soon as I put my headphones in, it says the connected usc isn't supported.

This is my only headphones I use with my hearing *****, any advice on getting it to work please?

Hi @PJ51UK ,

I would love to help you get this sorted. May I ask what Tablet and software version are you using and if you are plugging the headset directly into the USB-C port on the Tab or of you are using an adapter?

The Tablet model and software version can be found from the phone Settings> About Tab, then tap Software information.

The model is Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra.
Software information is android 13 with One UI 5.0
It is an adapter, which is an USB-C to 3.5mm. My 3.5mm headphones is plugged into this and then into the USB which then gives the error

Make sure your USB-C to 3.5mm adaptor has a dac built in. If it hasn't you will get the error not supported.

Hi, I got myself a new USB-C to 3.5mm adapter, ensuring it's has the DAC chip in it and happy to report it's working.

A similar problem has just occured - My wife and I have A53 phones - she has been using a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter successfully for some months - today she installed the latest update and now we get the 'Device Not Supported' message. So it appears that the adaptor does have a DAC chip (otherwise it wouldn't have worked up until now). So is it the update? Suggestions please 🙂

Hi, I just came across this thread because I recently bought an S23 to replace my S10e, so I wanted to know if all functions/features would be supported by the adapter. Some product description/reviews mention that calling is not supported, even though it has a DAC.

Even though Inturned it on now, the phone still shows as USB device not supported.

Hi I bought galaxy s23 8 months back. I am using a Zebronics CT AUX-10 connector with built in dac for my headphones to connect to my galaxy device. I am still seeing the "USB is not recognised". I tried turning on usb debugging but no luck.

I have no idea why it won't work. It should as it has a dac built in. Go to support at the bottom of members app home page. Send a error log, may be have the connector plugged in while sending the error. See what the developers report back. Don't expect a quick reply back though. Can take a while.
